Michael Nunez and James Eiler Speaking at 2016 Hospitality Law Conference

Michael J. Nunez and James O. Eiler will be presenting at the 2016 Hospitality Law Conference in Houston, TX, February 22-24. Mr. Eiler will be co-presenting with Mary Douglas (Starwood Hotels) on the topic of "Defending the Franchisors in Litigation Involving Franchisees and Third Parties." The discussion will provide the perspective from in-house and outside counsel on defending the franchisor in litigation involving third parties and franchise operations with recommendations for best practices for early resolution and defense of the litigation.

Mr. Nunez will be presenting a "TED talk" on "Recent Developments in Spoliation/Preservation and Sanction Cases." This discussion will provide an overview of the developments in surveillance, spoliation of evidence, and preservation across the United States.

Mr. Eiler will also be co-presenting, "People are Normal Until They Check Into a Hotel," with Rob Schnitz (Hyatt Hotels Corporation), a follow up of Guy Gruppie's presentation from 2015. They will discuss a new collection of strange-but-true experiences involving claims, lawsuits, and losses involving the hospitality industry.
