Katherine A. Winder

Katherine A. Winder is a Senior Associate in the Los Angeles office of Murchison & Cumming, LLP where she is a member of the Law and Motion practice group. Ms. Winder has previously handled matters involving inverse condemnation, negligence, nuisance, trespass, defamation, breach of contract, breach of oral contract, fraud, bankruptcy, personal injury, legal malpractice, employment, false claims and copyright infringement. She is experienced with multi-jurisdictional matters and in all phases of litigation, including depositions, mediations and trials.

With both plaintiff and defense bar experience, Ms. Winder has provided legal services to a wide variety of clients including individuals, government entities and businesses. She also has a background in the insurance industry, handling liability, coverage and arbitration as an adjuster.

Ms. Winder's research work has appeared in an American Bar Association publication on “Evaluating Fairness and Accuracy in State Death Penalty Systems: The Arizona Death Penalty Assessment Report,” and in an Arizona State University College of Law article entitled “A Study of Court-Connected Arbitration in the Superior Courts of Arizona,” which was submitted to The Supreme Court of Arizona. She is an ABOTA Trial Academy alumnus.

Ms. Winder's community service activities include serving on the Board of Directors for Access Books, a nonprofit organization that provides new and donated books, shelving and labor to build and stock libraries in Southern California's most impoverished schools.
