German Marcucci to Serve as Voluntary Settlement Officer for LASC

September 21, 2011

LOS ANGELES - Based upon successful completion of an application and interview process, the Los Angeles Superior Court's Alternative Dispute Resolution Department has chosen German A. Marcucci to serve as a settlement officer in the Court's Civil Voluntary Settlement Conference Program. As a voluntary settlement officer, Mr. Marcucci will oversee settlement conferences for civil litigation matters that would otherwise be held by a presiding judge or commissioner. The court developed the program to reduce its case backlog and better manage the trial court's calendar.

Already a volunteer mediator, Mr. Marcucci's newest role with the court further expands his pro bono practice. He has also volunteered as a judge in the Sonnenberg Moot Court Competition and participates in Occidental College's Alumni Sharing Knowledge outreach network.
