Summary Judgment Granted in Favor of Insurance Investigator

May 1, 2008

Carolyn A. Mathews obtained a Summary Judgment against Frederick Parker and in favor of Berger & Berger (insurance investigator) in connection with Parker's loss of an historic 75 year-old, 102-foot glass bottomed paddle boat (formerly belonged to Wrigley Family on Catalina), which he sank in calm waters off Malibu while trying to take the vessel North to Martinez to turn it into a restaurant. Parker claimed that Joseph Berger "intimidated and harassed" him and attempted to coerce him and witnesses to admit as true facts that were false, and "wrongfully accused" him of engaging in fraud with regard to his claim under his policy.
