Murchison & Cumming Welcomes Associate to Los Angeles Office

Murchison & Cumming, LLP is pleased to announce Thomas R. Coulston has joined the Los Angeles office as an Associate, focusing his practice on law and motion. Tom is an expert at simplifying complex problems and determining the best alternatives for resolution. He spent 20 years in solo practice and has experience ranging from family law, criminal law, defense litigation, and intellectual property.

Tom received his B.A. in pre-law with an emphasis in English, accounting, and political science at Chapman University. He earned his J.D. at the Western State University College of Law, during which he worked full time as a Property Claims Adjuster.

After law school, Tom worked as the home manager while pursuing his solo legal practice and spent 18 years as a little league baseball coach. Being the primary caregiver for his children is the driving force behind whom he has become as a person. He understands time management, negotiation, prioritization, crisis management, and creativity. He carries these skills he learned into his daily life and his legal work. Through practicing law, he can enjoy his passion for communication and writing and use his legal mind to make formative decisions that impact others.
