Manuel R. Gurule

Manuel (Manny) R. Gurule is an Associate at the Las Vegas office, focusing his practice on general civil litigation. Manny has extensive work experience that taught him to sustain himself in high-powered environments. Upon graduating high school Manny joined the U.S. Air Force as a security forces member.  When he was 20, he was deployed to Iraq where his team conducted counter-insurgency missions and were tasked with protecting personnel and troops as part of the base’s quick reaction force. After four years in the Air Force, Manny completed another four year enlistment serving as a paralegal in the Nevada Army Guard. It was during his time in the military that Manny became interested in studying law. His military experience prepared him for team leadership, dedication, and accountability, especially when others are depending on you.

After obtaining his B.A. in philosophy at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Manny worked as a substitute teacher, primarily for children in special education. Before applying to law school, he worked as an insurance agent, giving him another perspective and insight into civil litigation defense. While earning his J.D. at UNLV, Boyd School of Law, Manny was a Senior Staffer for the Nevada Law Journal and completed an externship for Judge Gloria Navarro of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada in 2019.

Away from the office, Manny enjoys snowboarding, fly fishing, and other outdoor hobbies. His passions inspire him to be more grounded as an individual and have a clear mind when he is working. He is learning German and hopes to obtain a private pilot’s license in the near future.
