Adam M. Winokur

Adam M. Winokur is an Associate in the Los Angeles office of Murchison & Cumming, LLP where he focuses his practice on general liability matters. Adam's clients have come to appreciate the quality of his legal analysis and the persuasiveness of his written and oral arguments. Adam immerses himself in the changing legal landscape, practicing and takes particular interest in the applications of new laws (and the new applications of old laws) necessitated by changes in technology and society, such as CCPA (new CA privacy/data breach law), DMCA (online copyright infringement), and as found in the bourgeoning cannabis industry.

Growing up, Adam's parents taught him have an entrepreneurial and analytical mindset which frames his creative approach to problem solving. He understands that being forced into a lawsuit is immensely stressful, and his goal is to always have an open line of communication with which to address his clients' concerns and guide them through the litigation process. Adam's tenacity, curiosity, and humor balance out his competitive spirit and contribute to his drive to achieve positive outcomes for his clients.

Adam attended University of California, Irvine where he received a BA in cognitive science and regularly received recognition for his academic performance. Adam obtained his J.D., magna cum laude and with an honors concentration in Intellectual Property, from Boston University School of Law. While in law school he received Witkin Awards for being awarded the highest scores in his courses in Torts, Contracts, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure, Intellectual Property, and Real Property. He is a member of the local Inn of Court and bar associations.

Away from the office, Adam enjoys cooking, coffee, VR, snowboarding, drones, and going for walks with his dog, Fozzie Bear.
