Carolyn A. Mathews is an Associate Partner in the Property Insurance Law Practice Group of Murchison & Cumming, LLP. Ms. Mathews focuses her practice on property damage insurance claims, including advising insurers regarding coverage issues, conducting examinations under oath, handling appraisals and litigation and assisting in fraud investigations. She has extensive experience with earthquake claims and insurance issues related to construction defect and resulting property damage claims, including mold and additional insured issues. Ms. Mathews has extensive trial experience and defends insurers against bad faith suits arising out of all types of insurance issues.
She has also been a speaker on issues relating to property damage losses under both first and third party policies. Ms. Mathews was a speaker at the West Coast Casualty Construction Defect Seminar in 2002 and 2003. She is also a licensed Real Estate broker in the states of California and Arizona.
